Get to know our Lead Occupational Therapist, Kelli: Kelli is an Occupational Therapist at our Plymouth-Canton location, where she brings passion, expertise, and a child-centered approach to every session. Kelli earned her undergraduate degree in Rehabilitation and Disability Services from Troy University and her Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from Alabama State University. She is also a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (CASDCS), with advanced training in supporting children on the spectrum.In addition to being a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist, Kelli also has additional training in trauma-informed care to support children with histories of trauma through connection, empowerment, and gentle correction. She also specializes in American Sign Language (ASL), Avoidant Restrictive Food Disorder (ARFID), sensory processing and integration, emotional and self-regulation, developmental milestones, school readiness, and feeding. She utilizes a play-based, child-led approach—believing that children build skills most effectively when they’re engaged in activities they genuinely enjoy. Kelli is especially passionate about parent education and loves empowering families with tools and strategies to support their child’s progress across all environments.Outside of work, Kelli enjoys spending time with her husband and daughter, going on walks with her two dogs, and indulging her love of indoor plants—she proudly tends to over 50 houseplants (and counting!). As an Alabama native, she’s currently learning how to brave Michigan winters… so if you hear a Southern twang, don’t worry—it’s just her accent trying to stay warm.
