Get to know Allyssa: Allyssa Bryan is a speech-language pathologist based at the Ann Arbor clinic. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Allied Health Sciences with an emphasis in Speech and Hearing Sciences from Grand Valley State University and her Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology from Wayne State University. Allyssa specializes in speech sound and phonological disorders and has a strong clinical interest in childhood apraxia of speech (CAS). She has completed advanced training in PROMPT and Kaufman Apraxia Methods, which inform her motor-based approach. She also draws on strategies from Hanen More Than Words and Lively Letters to support early language and literacy development. Her therapy style is strength-based and relationship-focused, grounded in a deep belief in the power of communication. Allyssa has received multiple ASHA Awards for Continuing Education and was honored with the ASHA Distinguished Early Career Professional Award. She is also a graduate of the ASHA Leadership Development Program and is passionate about mentorship and ongoing professional growth. Outside the therapy room, Allyssa enjoys gardening, spending time with her two cats, and exploring the outdoors with her husband.
