Get to know Kaitlin:
Kaitlin Theder-Schmidt is a speech-language pathologist at A2 Therapy Works. Her clinical practice focuses on working with children, adolescents, and young adults with a variety of cognitive, c
ommunication, and neurodevelopmental diversities. She has advanced training in literacy, social communication, pediatric feeding, motor speech, and Augmentative and Alternative Communications (AAC) interventions, as well as mentorship, leadership, and advocacy. Along with clinical practice, Kaitlin enjoys the opportunity to mentor and supervise new hires, graduate clinicians, and clinical fellows, as well as develop clinic practices, policies, and programs. Kaitlin earned her Bachelor’s degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders, and English Language and Linguistics, as well as her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Wisconsin – Madison. While at Madison, she developed a belief in a patient lead, family centered, team, and evidence based approach to therapy that is both fun and functional. In addition to that, she is dedicated to, and truly enjoys, helping clients meet their individualized social, communication, and community engagement goals in engaging and motivating ways. When Kaitlin is not working, or figuring out how to be a Badger in Wolverine territory, she is spending time with her twin daughters and husband, reading, skiing, or hiking.
